Dr. Ruben Ramos was born in Cuba in November of 1990, where he spent the first eleven years of his life. In 2002, he and his family came to the United States of America as political refugees and started a new life in Miami, Florida. In South Florida, Dr. Ramos completed high school and attended Florida International University for his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Ramos was accepted at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. He relocated to the Detroit metro area with his fiancé in 2017 and started his studies in dentistry.

During his third year of dentistry, he married his college sweetheart, Elsy Ramos, in Saint Joseph Shrine Catholic Church. In 2021, he graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. His love and interest for dentistry comes from both his parents, who were dentists in Cuba. With dentistry, Dr. Ramos found the perfect career to fulfill his desire of serving others in healthcare, while having the ability to spend time with his wife and family.

Dr. Ramos enjoys providing the best dental service while building a trusting relationship with his patients. He is passionate about restoring oral health, esthetics and a confident smile for his patients. For the past two years Dr. Ramos has been working for Aspen Dental, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Recently Dr. Ramos relocated to South Florida and coming this spring, he will be joining our The Bite family at our Miramar location. He is very excited to start providing the best dental service to our patients.

If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

That’s a tough question but I would have to say Jesus Christ. Someone that is so known and influential all around the world, I would love nothing more than to meet the man himself in person.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

My super power would probably have to be super-speed like the Flash! Not only am I a huge fan, but imagine all the things I could get done in one day…multitasking at its finest!

What is your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is autumn because it is a season full of all my favorite celebrations such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and my birthday! It’s a fun time when all the great undercover cooks come out to play, and who doesn’t like all those yummy fall dishes?! Love to cook them and love to eat them!

What’s your favorite kind of music?

I would have to say my favorite type of music is pop Rock. Just like my personality, I love how upbeat and happy it is, but I also like that spunkiness the rock has as well.
